Bulgaria 'offers cheap living costs'

Bulgaria and Macedonia are the cheapest countries for food in the West Balkans, according to the EU statistical authority Eurostat.
When prices across a range of products and services are compared, Bulgaria is apparently the cheapest country in the whole of the EU.
Everyday prices are something people
investing in Bulgaria or those taking out
Bulgarian mortgages are likely to consider before making a purchase.
The research, which uses information from statistical data provided by the National Statistical Institute in 2006, also indicates that Bulgaria's prices are level with those in Serbia and Macedonia.
Using its index, which gauges prices across the EU and sets the union average at 100, Eurostat said Montenegro, Romania and Albania all have price levels ten points higher than Bulgaria.
Last week, Novinite.com reported comments from Bulgarian deputy finance minister Lyubomir Datsov. The politician said Bulgaria is the most attractive country - compared to other EU member states - for those dealing in the
property investment market.
