Plovdiv to get new amenities

People interested in buying Bulgarian property may be glad to hear that developers in the country are still providing products for them to invest in despite the credit crunch.

In coming months overseas property investors will get the opportunity to buy brand new homes in Plovdiv, the eastern European nation's third largest city, in which a multi-million pound construction has begun.

According to the Sofia Echo, a €50 million (£46 million) project called Sky Buildings is already underway in the city and it will feature 21 buildings with a variety of amenities.

The residential complex will be equipped with homes, shops, eateries, spa centres and cinema halls, as well as gardens and children's playgrounds, which the newspaper says will occupy 30 per cent of the development.

Earmarked for completion in 2013, the development, which will also feature office space in two 27-storey buildings, is being carried out by a Plovdiv-based construction company.ADNFCR-1548-ID-18972313-ADNFCR
