New railway system in Dubai to attract more
Dubai
4th August 2008
A new £2 billion Metro Railway system in Dubai promises to make the metropolis even more lucrative for investors as it is expected to cut traffic by up to 17 per cent according to officials.
The network featuring both underground and above ground stations is projected by experts to make the desert nation even more lucrative, increasing the number of people interested in making Dubai their base for business.
According to the city's Roads & Transport Authority, the first line of the network is to open in September heralding a reduction in noise and pollution in the city, which will be achieved through less use of private vehicles.
A Golden Class with leather seating among other luxurious extras, a woman and childrens class with additional space for strollers and bags and an economy Silver Class on the trains are all expected to cater for everyone.
The first half of 2008 has so far seen property value in Dubai rise with prices going up by over 75 per cent, according to Dubai-based property website sandcastles-property.com.
