Rental guarantees and a new emerging market status are drawing overseas property investors to Egypt, according to a property insider.
Various factors, such as proximity to the UK due to short flight times, affordability and climate - among others - are making Egypt appealing to many Brits, Homesgofast.com has said.
According to Nicholas Marr, the chief executive officer of the organisation, "the Egyptian property market is faring well".
"UK investors are tempted by Egypt's emerging market status, short flight times, capital appreciation, the affordability, the climate, the tourist sites, the diving and the rental guarantees on offer," he said.
He stated that the country is not only attracting investors from the UK, but also other European nations such as Italy, Russia, Poland, Germany and Holland.
Overseas investors looking at the holiday rental market will be interested to note that Egypt was the 23rd most visited country in the world in 2007, according to the World Tourism Organisation.
