Interest in the property market in Buckinghamshire may well increase following its identification as the county whose residents have the highest quality of life in the UK.
The first such annual survey based on counties, conducted by Halifax, reveals that living standards are higher in Buckinghamshire than anywhere else in Great Britain.

Areas of Greater London and the south-east make up eight of the top ten counties in the survey, joined by the Vale of Glamorgan and Suffolk.
Martin Ellis, chief economist at Halifax, comments: "People living in Buckinghamshire have the highest quality of life amongst all the counties in Great Britain."
"Average house prices in the county, however, trade at a premium of £21,500 to the south-east region; so there is a price," he adds.
In other news that may interest those
buying property, the latest figures from the Land Registry suggest that the average house price in England and Wales stands at £186,045, having seen an annual change of 6.4 per cent.
