Expats buying property in the UK

UK Property Investment

17th February 2009
Expatriates and foreign nationals are reportedly taking advantage of declined property values and a favourable exchange rate to get onto the UK property ladder, it has been stated.

Currency exchange broker World First states that the investors are now being lured into the UK property market due to the fact that their money will give them much more in the current environment.

The broker's head of private clients, Elisabeth Dobson, says the company has noted an increase in such investors and many of them are expecting to pay low prices for properties.

She went on to say that some of the investors were clients who were selling properties bought in nations such as France years ago and the favourable exchange meant "their money will go much further in the UK" property market.

Early this week World First stated that one of the legacies of the recession was that the UK may become a lot more cosmopolitan.ADNFCR-1548-ID-19029991-ADNFCR
