Prices decline for 15 consecutive months

New data from the Land Registry shows that house prices continued to decline for the 15th consecutive month with England and Wales recording a further 1.9 per cent fall in November.

The number of sales also declined in the third quarter as market activity continued to drop, pushing the year-on-year drop in property prices to 12.2 per cent.

According to data from the organisation, with a 14.2 per cent drop, the East Midlands has recorded the highest drop, followed by the East with 14.1 per cent and South East with 13.7 per cent.

Others include the South West with 12.8 per cent, Wales 11.7 per cent, West Midlands 11.6 per cent, Yorkshire and Humber 10.6 per cent, North East 10.3 per cent and London and the North West with 10.2 per cent.
